My name is Vlada Zharkova-Sviridova. My journey in art began with a classical artistic education in miniature painting, where precision and attention to detail are especially important. Later, I studied restoration at the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA), and then received a degree in art history from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts.
I continue to paint and regularly participate in international plein air events. When selecting works, it is important for me to understand how they are painted, how confidently the artist masters the technique, and what lies behind the image.
My main rule is simple: I will never offer you something I wouldn't choose for my own home. I genuinely love every artwork presented in the gallery.
My task as a curator is not to amass a large collection, but to select works that I truly want to showcase. Sometimes it's a piece that captivates you immediately. Sometimes — one you want to contemplate longer.
